Let’s Try Again: Blue Ridge Marathon to Pass Through Mountain View

You may remember that last April, the Blue Ridge Marathon was planned to pass through Mountain View neighborhood, but heavy rain and flooding forced organizers to reroute away from the Roanoke River, eliminating our segment. ‘Recycle & Win’ a $50 Kroger Card

Beginning this week, the City of Roanoke will be one of several area localities participating in Coca-Cola’s “Recycle & Win!” contest, a special initiative designed to promote municipal recycling programs. Recycle & Win! will run for six months from November 2011 to April 2012. Single-family households in the city should receive in the mail informational materials that describe how to take part in the contest, along with a “Give it Back” sticker to be placed on curbside recycling bins.
